The Chinese Venise ! The city surrounded by rivers

Town where should have been shot Mission Impossible 3

Description:
Zhouzhuang, one of the most famous water town in China, situated in Kunshan City which is only 30 kilometers southeast of Suzhou (less than 2 hours by bus from Shanghai). It is noted for its profound cultural background, the well preserved ancient residential houses, the elegant watery views and the strong local colored traditions and customs. In fact, there is nothing special to do there except having a tour in the city, which is, I have to admit, very beautiful.

The temperature there was very hot as you will see on the pictures. We visited the city, the residence a taoist temple, a lake where was grown up some mussels for harvesting their pearls and a silk fabric. All that in one day, it is enough to stay there one day. From the twin bridges to the taoist temple, Chris, Phuong, Kevin (Phuong's friend) and I, walked through ZhouZhuang. Anyway, again special thank to Phuong who has had the (brilliant) idea to advise us to go there because such little trips are always appreciable.
