A little town between the Yellow Mountains |
Awesome landscape, green mountains, wonderfull waterfalls far from the city life |
Description: We started our trip with 6 of my french friends by taking the night train from Shanghai to Huang Shan. What a strange feeling to be inside the train in a room of six beds unseparated from the other rooms. I mean there is no separation door between each 6 beds rooms, so you will hear every sound coming from the outside. Although it could have been really worse than that, we slept well and arrived at 10 o'clock in the morning after a 12 hours long trip. As soon as we got out of the train, we bought maps of Huang Shan (here you can see how it looked like), a Chinese guy came across our way and wanted to book a hotel for us and show us where to buy the tickets back to Shanghai... First we were a bit reluctant, because we thought that this guide wanted to trick us but as soon as he let us read his visitors' book, we saw that many tourists coming from many parts of the world had written good comments about him and we began to trust him a little more. In fact, he proposed us politely to take us the an hotel without asking for more money, we accepted and he even advised us the best places to visit. He made us gain a precious amount of time and was very nice with us either. As we arrived to the hotel we quickly unpacked our stuffs and fulfil our backpacks with usefull things such as bottle of water, sweat shirts, maps and we started our trip in the mountains. From green trees to steepy and rocky ways, we climbed the different mountains and hills of the valley among huge waterfalls. We could even see some monkeys (you will see that on the pictures) living in the nature. The only embarrassing thing is that we had to pay the entry of each different parks (the price was about 30-40 RMB each and 265 RMB to go up with the elevated railway) whereas I was the only one which could have quite an interesting discount on those prices. You probably want to know why, let me give you an advise, everyone between 18 and 25 years old: Bring you student card, next time, you will pay less ^^! This sample of pictures does not reflect the entire pictures we took there. I will try to provide you the other interesting ones as soon as possible. In the meantime I let you have some clicks on the pictures below!
