The summer residence of the Chinese Emperor

At least one little village (still 300 000 people there) and a huge park that is as big as the village

Description:
As one of the first famous historic and cultural cities of the nation, ChengDe has plenty of sceneries, with some of them being renowned both at home and abroad. The Mountain Resort (which is as big as the city itself) and Eight Outer Temples are listed as the world cultural heritage sites, which have contributed towards ChengDe being one of famous cities in the world.

In the past, ChengDe was the summer residence of the Chinese Emperors since the Qing Dynasty. That is why you can find many different temples there because whenever the Emperor wanted to manage conflicts from his summer residence, he invited his allies and that's why he built temples of every culture style (tibetan, mongolian...) and this is the particularity of ChengDe.

In my book, it was told that we could rent some bikes and ride accross the city but we didn't find anyone to rent bikes... Therefore we walked quite a lot, from place to place, from temple to temple. The weather hasn't been great but it was quite interesting to take a look at what Chinese people call a village. We simply stayed two days there, spending the first evening with our friend Maxime and his whole family with whom he travelled through east China. Little trip, few pictures, great fun: Enjoy!
